It was well over a year ago that I secured the domain formyfelix.com, marking the beginning of a journey deeply rooted in my role as a father. Parenting, especially within the framework of co-parenting, presents unique challenges and opportunities. On the days when Félix wasn’t with me, I found myself contemplating how I could still contribute positively to his life, despite our physical distance. This reflection sparked the idea of creating something lasting—not just for him, but something that would also allow me to grow as a parent.
The decision to write “For My Félix: When You Grow Up” was driven by a desire to leave something tangible for Félix—a beacon of my love and presence he could return to time and again, especially as he grows older. This book was intended to be a symbol of my unwavering support, a message I hoped would resonate stronger than the words I often missed from my own father, who, like many of his generation, struggled with expressing affection openly.
Blending Professional Skills with Personal Vision
My background in marketing, along with skills in communication, web development, and design, not only made this project feasible but also deeply personal. More than just a creative outlet, this endeavor represented an opportunity to meld my professional skills with my most heartfelt intentions.
However, the real transformation came with the realization of how today’s innovative AI technologies could extend this project beyond a one-off effort. These tools presented a chance not just to craft a bespoke book for Félix, but to potentially democratize this deeply personal form of storytelling for parents everywhere.

The vision has since expanded. I’m working to build a platform that will one day allow parents to create books that are reflections of their hopes and dreams for their children.
